Week 2 - Prayers and God's Will

God blessed me so much this past week!  It was an incredible week and he was in every aspect of the week always giving me exactly what I needed.  As I mentioned I got sick on Sunday, but God gave me wonderful programs who were able to step up and set up worship.  God blessed with such a phenomenal week with phenomenal campers who could in all honesty pour back into me just as much as I felt the need to pour into them.  I loved being able to pour into these campers this week and connecting with these campers just felt amazing.  Also, the ability for these campers to share this week was amazing.  Hearing how God is working in these campers lives was just wonderful.  Also, my father was able to provide his truck for us to use during lumber deliveries and my mom and sister donated their time to help finish a wheelchair ramp on Saturday and it is just amazing to have such a giving family.  Then my truck began leaking brake fluid on Tuesday and being the day before the fourth of July I was able to go to four service shops all of whom were booked up until Friday and considering I was leaking brake fluid I figured that just wasn't going to cut it.  So on my way back in for the day I saw Buff's Service Shop and I pass it everyday on the way to Morganton and so, I figured I might as well stop.  When I walked in I saw the sign above their counter that read "Always be nicer than necessary."  I figured well this must have been the place to stop, but then they told me the same thing that they were booked until Thursday.  Then Mike walked in, one of the mechanics, and he asked me what was wrong.  I explained and he said he would take a quick look.  He was like well son this will only take about 30 minutes to do, so let me go ahead and do it for you.  Can I say "God is amazing."  Thank goodness to cause I didn't really want to get in a wreck!  Then it is one of my jobs to get the Elements blessed for Communion if one of our adult campers isn't a pastor, so we didn't have someone this week so I had to be on the search.  Well my cousin from Forest City, who blessed it the first week was on vacation this week and then I heard my pastor, Caroll Flack was in the area for a Bluegrass festival, but by the time I called him he has already left.  So, I turned to our camp caretaker and asked to get his pastor's number.  Unfortunately, she was also out of town for her granddaughter's birthday, but she said she would contact a few other pastors in the area to talk to, so I waited for her all day, but never heard back.  So then I went out on Friday, which is a little late to attempt to get Communion blessed, but praise God that when I got back into an area with service I had a message from a pastor who was completely willing to bless my elements!  God truly guided my path all week which was so amazing.  Furthermore, I am beginning to understand God's call for me this summer, in which I have truly become a prayer warrior and I believe I have truly been called to become a force of calmness and relief to pull our staff together. I thank God for my staff because we have come together so much. And with that, I am about to head off to my third camp week praying for the best and that God will just blow me away this upcoming week.
